I ordered 45 jumbo quail hatching eggs and contacted George at Northwest Quail Farm to arrange for me to pick them up. He had them ready for me on the arranged pick up day, they were packed well and he gave me an extra nine eggs. Eggs started hatching yesterday and finished today. Hatch rate was excellent at 88 percent and chicks are doing great.

My coturnix eggs are far too large for normal egg containers, and these are the only ones that fit them well. I also REALLY love the rectangular closures on them- they open SO much more smoothly than the circular ones, and close much more securely as well. I find the circle clasps are constantly collapsing/crushing when people use them, and they get difficult to pop open or don't close all the way, so customers were cracking eggs! These cartons solved that, and since they still look nice after use, I get more folks bringing them back instead of deciding they're garbage and creating more plastic waste. I know I'll never buy from anywhere else as long as I can keep getting this kind! My only complaint is the 12-cells were out of stock, but admittedly most people aren't buying just one dozen ;-)
The large jumbo cartons are perfect for when I have 17 gram and larger eggs.
