Build your own Quail Town with heavy-duty, Texas-built modular Coturnix quail cages for egg production, breeding and grow-out. Welded aluminum stacking frames support customizable layer and grow-out cage configurations. Each cage includes an automatic waterer with 1.5 feet of tubing, an aluminum feeder with guards and a rust-resistant 18 x 26 inch aluminum litter pan, 1.125 inches high, for parchment liners, silicone mats, litter or shavings.

Layer Cages with Egg Rollout

Layer cages hold up to 12 jumbo or 14 standard adult quail. For fertile eggs, configure 10 jumbo females and 2 males, or 12 standard females and 2 males. An angled 16-gauge black PVC-coated 1/2 x 1 inch floor rolls eggs to a front collection overhang with plastic guards on the front and sides. The top, rear and sides feature 14-gauge 1 x 2 inch galvanized steel. A smooth hybrid plastic front aligns with 22 feeder guard openings to reduce spilled feed.

Grow-Out Cages

Flat-floor grow-out cages accommodate up to 24 three-week-old, 20 four-week-old or 16 five-week-old quail, or 12 jumbo or 14 standard adults. They also work for housing adult male quail. Each has 14-gauge 1 x 2 inch galvanized steel top, rear and sides and a 16-gauge black PVC-coated 1/2 x 1 inch flat floor. The smooth hybrid plastic feeding front aligns with 22 feeder guard openings.

Cage Dimensions

Cage only: 8 H x 26 W x 18 D inches. Grow-out cage with frame and feeder: 12 H x 29 W x 20 D inches. Layer cage with frame and egg rollout: 12 H x 29 W x 24 D inches. Each cage is 11 inches tall when inserted into legs or stacked. Grow-out door: 8.5 W x 6 H inches. Layer door: 8.5 W x 4.75 H inches. Litter pan: 18 x 26 x 1.125 H inches.

2-Gallon Water Reservoir

Both reservoir styles have a black lid and built-in shutoff valve for easy water control and reservoir removal. The black reservoir blocks light to help limit algae growth; the opaque/transparent style makes water level visible without removing the lid. The option in this listing is the solid black reservoir.

Leg Kit Options

4-inch tabletop legs are useful for one to three stacked cages on a tabletop or cabinet. 10-inch stationary legs provide about 10 inches of clearance for sweeping, or 12 inches with the litter tray removed; stationary stacks may be wall-secured or back-to-back. The 10-inch rolling legs have 2-inch locking wheels that add about 3 inches to overall height, allowing up to six stacked cages to be moved, with about 13 inches of clearance or 15 inches with the litter tray removed.
